Volunteer

Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in. ~ Author Unknown

Please let us know if you are interested in becoming a volunteer docent at the Iron Workers Museum: 503-481-2479. By volunteering at the History Center & Museum, you’ll not only help your fellow residents and visitors learn more about Lake Oswego’s rich and unique history, your service will also strengthen and promote community involvement.

Other volunteer opportunities include helping with events, writing for our blog, researching Lake Oswego’s built heritage and general support with mailings and outreach.

The Society is an all-volunteer organization. We understand and appreciate the need to make choices about donating your limited time. Our success depends on volunteers like you who choose to help us make a difference in our community and we are deeply appreciative!
