Albert Gambell was a self-employed designer and homebuilder in the Portland area and is listed as such in the Portland directory intermittently from 1923 to 1956. Morris H. Whitehouse founded an architectural firm in Portland in 1907. This firm, in conjunction with partners and successors, operated for 80 years.
